Agents of Mindspace are those beings in Mindspace with the ability to shift and alter aspects of either fetuses or potential parents, or people highly skilled in any sort of reproductive or fertility magic. Because they are so key to Mindspace, they are treated well and given positions of relative rank within the agencies they are associated with. Assumption of this position comes with heavy responsibilities, and is purely by choice.

   Agents of Mindspace are usually aligned with dragonries and heavy metropolis centers, where they can get a lot of traffic. They may be private individuals, operating like doctors with their own practices and accept payment for their services, or they may be public, as is the case with most dragonry-oriented Agents of Mindspace. These public agents are not paid, but are sponsored by the dragonries they work at in exchange for their services.

  The services offered by Agents of Mindspace are available to all species-- not just dragons. In fact, they were operating well long before dragons came onto the scene at all, due to the strange gender and sexuality dynamics in the world of Mindspace. The Agents are a tradition as old as the world itself, which is saying something.

   To be an agent, one must show talent in any of the areas of magic or science associated with the profession. They then receive training in medical healing, the general theory and application of the magic, and whatever magic or scientific skill they show promise in, as well as every other magic or scientific skill associated with the profession that they could possibly learn. All Agents must be skilled in some method of healing, since this is a medical sort of occupation. In essence, AoM's are healing magic users who use their talents in the area of being reproduction, with the option for aesthetic physical modifications.

   The services rendered by an AoM can have any number of applications-- gene modifications for aesthetic purposes, or modification of bodies for said purpose, but not at the level of genes. Removing a gene that causes a devastating physical ailment. Changing the gender of a transgender being permanently. Giving couples who would not otherwise be able to a chance to reproduce. Solving potential problems in fetuses before they become an issue.

   Note-- there are AoM with specialties in both ways of doing every alteration procedure. I.e, scientific and magic, and mixed. E.g, Surgical methods of gender switching [which are permanent], and magical [which can be permanent or temporary.] Dual methods are not always possible, and magic tends to be better than scientific [surgical procedures take more time for recovery, and scientific modification is not always possible-- temporarily gender switches, or genetic alterations in adult beings], but on occasion they overlap.   AoM powers fall into general categories-- such as Pre-conception [modification to the parents], post-conception [modification of the fetus], Asexual [reproductive methods that do not involve physical sex between two beings], Protective, etc.

It's believed the organs are added. In males, this process has to be monitored incredibly carefully, and a full gender switch or a c-section is required at the end of term in order to get the babies out. Only advanced AoM are allowed to perform this procedure on males, but this restriction is not imposed on the female version of this procedure because it's fairly easy.
Pre-Conception	Alter Size	If there is a massive size difference between two dragons interested in mating, a temporary size shift will be put in place to reduce discomfort and potential complications. Effects eggs as well, if the smaller is the female, and results in smaller offspring which may or may not have a high growth rate. Always Magical.
Pre-conception	Alter Genetics	Alter the genetics of potential parents, usually temporarily, to remove or add a gene or a number of genes. Always magical.
Pre-conception	Fertility Influence	For beings who cannot reproduce naturally or due to an accident, or who are otherwise sterile or infertile. Not always possible, this procedure is on a case-by-case basis. Surgical or Magical, usually magical, usually temporary. Must be approved by the head of AoM in the area before procedure is done.
Post-conception	Alter Fetus Non-genetically	Fetal alteration that does not reach the genetic level. Color mod, trait mod, etc. Surgical only for emergency situations when magical modification is not possible and is Not recommended.
Post-conception	Alter Fetus Genetically	Alter fetus on a genetic level-- altered traits will pass to it's young. always magical.
Post-Conception	Fetal Healing	If a fetus is hurt, not developing normally, or has something wrong with it, this is an option. All public AoM facilities must have at least 3 fetal healers present at all times. Advanced AoM only, surgical only when magical healing is not possible, and surgical procedure is not recommended.
Medical	Generic healing	Recommended to have one generic healer present at all times. One advanced generic healer [magical] is required at public facilities to be present at all times.
Medical	Magical Methods of Surgical Procedures	and, of course, the surgical versions of them too. Usually to do with things like problems with internal reproductive organs causing health problems [not necessarily tried with a being trying to reproduce], or procedures like C-sections. Particularly C-sections for males undergoing a partial gender change.
Protective Responsibility	Monitor Procedures	Carefully keeping track of all vital things during any of these procedures, as well as during natural pregnancies. Aborting procedure if anything looks to be fatally endangering the health of either parent or most of the young.

Genetic Manipulation [asexual]	Vita Partum Fio	Name derived from the Latin words "Life, Create, Become." Combining the genetics of 2 or more beings in-vitro, and occasionally controlling what aspects of the young are shown. Can be magical or scientific. Babies can be completely in vitro, or the fertilized cells can be placed in a willing female or gender-modified male. Genetic combos, similar to biosynthesis.
Protective/Post-conception	Monitor influence of Mindspace's magical atmosphere.	Usually done only by head AoMs. Mindspace's magical atmosphere occasionally interferes or influences fetal development, particularly in more magically-concentrated areas. Those doing this constantly monitor the flow of magic, and control how much and of what kind magics influencing the eggs are, if any.
