Breeding Rules for General Mindspace

Rules
1. Any dragon may rise to mate here. Females may rise, of course, and, if a male so chooses, they may do so too. Also, any gender is allowed to chase-- males may chase males, and females may chase females. If you want your same-sexed dragons to have babies, there are things you can do-- sees the Alternative Reference Table.
--------note 1: If you have a problem with dragons the same gender chasing your dragon, say so in the comments section of your form. Otherwise, it's assumed you don't mind. You choose the winners, in any case, so there usually isn't much problem.
2. Stories are not mandatory. The rising dragon is responsible for the flight story and, if they choose, the hatching story-- though they may pass the writing of the second to me. If you want, the records of both will be mysteriously misplaced.
3. It goes without saying, but the owner of the rising dragon chooses who wins.
4. Any sort of dragon is welcome here, so long as the dragon was allowed to be used in the Nexus (includes gifts), and nothing click-and-take, please. Also, I'd like to be sure that the original creator of the species/breed you're using is cool with you flying it here. Note that any dragon/creature obtained anywhere on mindspace is free to rise and clutch wherever they choose.
5. Premated pairs are welcome here, as well as open flights. If you have a dragon who you already want to win, just say so in the comments section of the form and I will make it a closed flight.
6. Hatchings-- not all dragons who fly have to lay a clutch and, if the sands are full, they won't be allowed to. However, that's unlikely, and you can choose to clutch here if you like. You will be allowed to suggest an egg amount and the colours to hatch, but the end final say is mine. Also, genetics aren't QUITE so important here, since the magical atmosphere of mindspace may distort colours and whatnot, but I will still respect them a bit. Also, please specify the types of bonders the offspring will need, or if they'll need bonders at all.
7. Chasers: Please have a personality description at the very least, and a story might be nice, but not mandatory.
8. Risers: please specify what you're looking for-- i.e, large dragons, pernese only, rare colours, etc--and how many chasers you want. I'll fill up a flight at five, though I might cut it down to three if there isn't much interest. If you want more or less than that, please specify. Also, if you disappear, I might choose the winner for you-- but only if I don't hear for you for two weeks or so. Also, if your dragon isn't the sort to rise into the air and demand to be chased like most, then it can "rise" any way she pleases; that will be up to you, but if it's anything other than that default, please specify how exactly they will want to be pursued.
9. Note-- If you want your male dragon to chase, the riders don't have to participate if they're otherwise involved. Likewise, if the owner of the rising dragon prefers that the rider of the winning chaser be of either the same or opposite gender as the rider of their rising dragon, it will be assumed that any rider that doesn't meet those qualifications are not chosen, even if their dragons win-- the rider of the rising dragon will use a stand-in that does meet their preferences.
**Note-- size differences aren't that big of a deal. There are beings at every mindspace agency capable of magically altering size for the duration of a flight, and will do so. All variously sized dragons will be altered to suit the dragon they're flying temporarily on default, unless otherwise stated by the person sending the dragon in question in. Females may also have their size altered, but this won't be done unless asked. It's all in-character, so it doesn't effect the characters for longer than the flight.**
In general: Regarding art- I'll usually be drawing the babies/colouring them. However, if you'd like to volunteer to do them entirely, or to draw them for me to colour, i won't turn you down. XP Default is by me, though.
Additions Specific to Dragonry
-Academy: Please note that anyone staying at the academy for prolonged periods of time will have to take a class, or teach one, or be otherwise useful to the academy. This is an IC note, however, so specify in the comments section what your character is gonna do.

These modifications tend to be genetic-- though you can get aesthetic modifications implanted in a fetus, this is dangerous and not recommended on mindspace-- and can be aesthetic or practical. An example would be changing a gene for blue eyes to a gene for purple eyes, for aesthetics, or for practicality, if you have a baby that's 1/4 thestral that hasn't inherited the gene for a magical field that would, essentially, keep it alive, you can get such a gene implanted fairly easily. |
Alternative Breeding Reference Table Permissions
The following is information on what dragon breeds/art by which artists may participate in modified same-sex breedings. For the genetic tinkering restrictions, please see the Abstract Destiny's restriction page, since I will operate as if said species are still restricted. Same sex breeding/cross size breeding is DIFFERENT from the genetic tinkering.
Key: Red = Restricted, Green = Allowed, SLP = Species Limits Permitting, DP = Dilution Point = the point at which a mutt is considered far removed enough from restricted species in it's family tree to be allowed to do such things (Standard dilution point for unspecified species is 1/4), **= this artist does have some restricted species, even if most are considered allowed, Yellow = in original species, means the artist in question has a number of restricted species at least equal to the ones allowed, and general take on the subject of usage for their original species as a whole is unknown. ? = assumed
